Who is Rabbi Ovadiah and What is He Doing?

The Man

Yeshua, the New Testament, and Christianity can be very sensitive subjects in the haredi (ultra-orthodox) world. Because of this, the rabbi has chosen to utilize a pseudonymous identity. Otherwise, he risks severe ostracization from the Jewish community and his mission would be jeopardized.

Nonetheless, he has worked with Messianics and Christians online for nearly 15 years, teaching them about the Jewish roots of their faith. He has published multiple articles and books. He was a former administrator of Facebook's largest Messianic page (over 2 million likes).

The rabbi lives in America with his wife and children. He is a student of the holy Rebbe Nachman of Breslev and studies in the local kollel throughout the week.

The Mission

Rebbe Nachman's directive is clear: there is a tzaddik who's wisdom fell into the darkness of the Nations. The Nations took this wisdom and corrupted it beyond recognition, turning the tzaddik's wisdom into a completely separate religion. He concludes by saying:

“Every Jew has a part to play in the task of identifying how this wisdom that has fallen into their hands can be separated from them and elevated in order to return it to its source” (Advice, Alien Philosophies & Ideologies 1).

The wisdom of this tzaddik must be separated from the Nations and returned to its rightful place in Judaism. This is not a mere work of "comparative religious studies" or "interfaith dialogue." God forbid. The situation is much more dire and time is short. The fallen wisdom of the tzaddik must be seized back from the Nations - but first, we must prove that it belongs to us originally. This requires a full rabbinic re-examination of Christianity whereby holy wheat is separated from unholy chaff. With Hashem's loving assistance, this will occur.

Rabbi's Book Fund

Rabbi Ovadiah's work has long been privately funded. However, the cost of independent research is immense.

Even a small donation of $5 to the rabbi's book fund will help enable him to continue pursuing Rebbe Nachman's instruction to recover the fallen wisdom of the tzaddik and return it to its holy source in Judaism.
